Celebrating One Year in Business!

A year ago today, Jamie and I officially signed the contract (yes, I totally geeked out when I got to use what I learned in my business classes and made our first business contract. I felt so legit let me tell you!) to become a Photography and Makeup Artist team. And what a year it's been!

When I was studying in Spain, I prayed that God would send me someone to help me and my business. Jamie was an answer to my prayers and one year has changed everything for me! I'm not kidding you, I did my first makeover working with Jamie on a girl in the backseat of a car... we've come a long ways since then haha!

Jamie has helped my business grow not only because of all the pretty professional pictures, but with all the ideas and talent she brings to the table. I have watched her grow as a business owner and I couldn't be prouder to call her my business partner! It's also the best thing ever to have a BFF who is always willing to take pictures for me.

Some highlights of the past year have been doing our first wedding together, bringing the best group of girls together for our Spokesmodel team, binging Katelyn James all access courses, and making numerous serveys to insure we're constantly getting better. Above all we've created such a sweet friendship. And even when the business life changes, our friendship will be the one thing that will stay constant.

I wanted to share some of my favorite memories and shoots from the past year! And while you're enjoying these, Jamie and I will be at my favorite place (a bakery- of course!) and taking pictures to celebrate!

Thanks for a great year Jame, here's to many more!

A May Wedding: Megan and Jordan

What a special day! One of my first friends ever (since preschool!!) was getting married after 5 years of dating her highschool sweetheart Jordan.

Megan reached out to me months ago about being the makeup artist for her and her bridal party so I had lots of time to prep and get super excited! Reconnecting with old friends is just another reason why I love doing makeup!!

I'd gone through highschool with most of her bridemaids as well, so it was just a sweet day filled with lots of laughter and catching up on everyone's journey.

I started each makeover by finding out the types of looks they all wanted. A couple wanted the more dramatic look, but overall the girls wanted the natural shimmery glow.

I loved doing both looks so much and am excited to share the day with you! I'll leave some of the products we used listed below.
Enjoy!
