The Blog
Truth. Goodness. Beauty
This blog post just makes me so excited!! This shoot was filled with the absolute sweetest things! The girls. The sugary treats. The location and the blush wall. One word comes to mind and describes the day pretty nicely: perfection!
Having the girls over for makeovers before the shoot is always my favorite part. It sets the mood of fun and giddiness for the whole day! It's a chance to catch up and get to know one another even better. And for me, that's what these makeovers are all about! Gamma Phi Beta brought us all together and I just think it's the best thing to have so many great people to be surrounded by. The whole day reminded me of how special friendships are. Friends make life more fun and being surrounded by them can give you this confidence to take on the world! Regardless of whether you have 3 friends or 300 friends, the kindness and intentionality you put into those friendships are what will always shine through. These beauties were definitely shining! Not only were they ready for any pose, but they were willing to eat the cookies for the perfect shot... and 2 of them are gluten-free!! They assured me they might have stomach aches later but the pictures would be worth it. I'll let you decide for yourself! Enjoy some of my favorites from our recent Galentine's Shoot! 2/20/2018 0 Comments The Best of 2017Hi Friend!
Can you believe 2017 is quickly coming to a close and 2018 is right around the corner? 2018 will be a big year full of changes for me: graduation, finding an adult job, and continuing to grow my makeup business. But, before all that comes around I wanted to take a moment to pause and look at all the amazing things that happened this past year. God has been so faithful and good! -I left the U.S. and went to live in Spain for a semester, traveling all over the world to some really amazing places - I started a makeup business and have partnered with some amazing photographers who have really helped it to grow. Doing makeovers for photoshoots has given me an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, create a great portfolio, and have lots of girl talk while playing in makeup.
It wouldn't be right to mention all that exciting-ness without thanking those who made it possible: My parents. My photographers, Jamie and Savannah. God. Thank you all for guiding me, pushing me to be better, and loving me through it all. I can't wait to see what this next year has in store! I hope 2018 is just as exciting as this past year, filled with more blessings and joy than I know what to do with, and I hope that goes for you as well! A new year is a new chance to grow into the person you want to be, make changes, love harder, and seek more joy. That's what I'll be doing this year. Enjoy some of my favorite moments from 2017!
