Natural Beauty at Villa del Balbianello | Lake Como Editorial with Lauren Fair

Crafting the perfect bridal beauty look for a destination wedding in Lake Como Italy, is an aesthetic truly all about effortless, understated elegance. As I entered the Bridal suite of the Villa, the morning light over the lake had a soft, painterly quality that demanded a flawless, skin-first approach to the makeup look we were about to create.

To complement the historic estate and Lauren Fair’s luminous photography style for this editorial, I wanted to create a natural beauty look designed to appear breath-taking in person and translate beautifully onto photos:

• The Signature Lake Como Glow: Utilizing lightweight, hydrating layers to achieve a sun-kissed, lit-from-within complexion that mirrors the soft Italian light.
• Soft, Defined Eyes: Using a warm color palette inspired by the estate's sun-bleached terracotta and dusty antique gold to subtly enhance the eyes while keeping them soft and romantic.
• A Pop of Color: Adding in a bridal lipstick to match the florals will always be one of my favorites touches to make each bride's makeover unique and fresh.

Whether eloping in Europe or planning a wedding in your hometown, your bridal look should be one that ensures you look like your most polished and radiant version of you. Never stuffy, fake or forced.
