Intentionally Seeking Beauty: The New JS Makeup Artistry Vision

Picture

Hello Lovely!

What an impactful and life changing time the last 8 years have been serving women all throughout Virginia & Washington D.C., to say it's been one of the great joys of my life would be a true understatement!

It's changed my perspective; it's taught me about authentic beauty, self love, service and community.

Now the time has come to expand what we've created along the East Coast... it's time to move the business further South.
In the Spring I officially quit my full time job to move to Huntsville, Alabama to be with my husband Kyle on military assignment. It was the scariest thing I've ever done to leave a job and established business... but despite the fear and uncertainties, I knew God was calling me toward something new for myself, my marriage and the bridal beauty business we'd created.

I took the Summer off from social media and makeovers to learn how to cook (still a very big work in progress...), make an apartment a home for Kyle, our miniature schnauzer Artie and I, and to reset my priorities in business. I'm not the same girl who started her makeup business right out of college. Running from job to job and a quick Instagram post no longer allows me to serve intentionally to the best of my abilities. I knew there was something more to create - possibly something even more lasting.

My vision to serve women and help them feel beautiful, celebrated and loved is the same, now it's just expanded and refined to better serve you whether you sit in my makeup chair or not.

There will be a stronger focus on the process and heart behind why we do what we do. Not only are we going to celebrate women, but we will do it while intentionally seeking beauty. I think the most special thing about this is we can all attempt to make our lives more beautiful, no matter the circumstances we may find ourselves in.

I felt uniquely drawn to this new direction, inspired to seek Beauty in 5 specific areas:

          - Beauty in Authenticity
          - Beauty in People
          - Beauty in Faith
          - Beauty in Design
          - Beauty in Self Care

Blog posts, social media reels, behind the scenes and practical tips. Today is the day all of that dreaming and preparation comes to fruition and I can barely contain myself!
It's actually happening and I am thrilled beyond words you're here for it!

This is the start of a new journey together, one that more authentically and not so perfectly shares my heart and the little moments of beauty I find, not just makeup talk although there will still be plenty of that. Most of all I hope this new content helps you feel the freedom to live authentically yourself!

Whether it's trying out a new mascara, writing in a prayer journal for the first time, taking a moment to make a mocktail or redesign your bedroom, there is splendor and creativity in it all.

Below is a compilation of some of my favorite moments I found beauty this Summer, I can't wait to continue on this new adventure with you!

Seeking beauty with you,
Jor
